Good afternoon before the evening does early evening one and all! This is AD Positive and Wilita and we are bringing to you live from Riverwest Ware Radio on the perfectly dusty street of Center, Mother's Musical Diaries with AD and Wylita. Now with a hot new phone line. You gotta call or text the show at 414-812-1730. That's 414-812-1730-1730. A great year for the spatted lantern fly. Uh which is it actually sort of looks like a beetle, uh, truth be told. Uh they they do lay egg masses containing 30 to 50 eggs, uh, which are often covered with a grayish mud-like coating. And uh, okay, often okay, uh uh, on those occasions when the egg mass isn't covered with a grayish mud-like coating, what the heck is it covered with? Research and development yet again is really sleeping on the job here. At any rate, as it goes, we start every show with a diary entry with from mother, and then at some point we play a song from her musical archives, and finally we end each show with mother breathing closely, then entering my room to impart wisdom that offers a good deep sleep, and that's the way we start the show, and that's the way we end the show, because that's the way we like it. And so we start with the words of mother, a diary entry. I met a young man who said he was from outer space. That's all fine and good. But I'd like to have known that, well, you know, before everything else about him seemed pretty normal, to be honest. Muriel said she knew a fellow from outer space too. Is this something men say to feel special? I have never met a woman who claimed to be a Martian. But I swear three out of three out of ten men do. Even Larry the other day said he was going to need supper early so he could catch his spaceship. Andy nodded in agreement. I love them. But sometimes I wish they would take a flight to another galaxy just for a bit. Oh, mother. Come on now. We were we were just kidding. Or at least I was, uh, but I come on, I mean, I'm pretty sure Larry is from another planet. And don't you remember his little dingling? Looks kind of look like a snake tongue. And uh and also I'm pretty sure the space lady. The space lady whose music we played a few times on the show, she's a good example that runs counter to your thinking about gender in space claims, mother. But uh, you know, I do, I do get it, and I uh I really honestly I hear what you're saying.
SPEAKER_11And speaking of aliens, well I saw I can turn like a machine and boss and become the makeup like you've been there before. I saw what can work so I can tell the night on my bedroom will stay in the back. I can't stop the way of the light, I'm on the way on the right. Yes, I guess we're over that one.
SPEAKER_01The stars really aligned on that one, Mother Lovers. We just played Gary Newman from the great uh replicas album uh straight out of Mother's LB collection on that one, all vinyl all the time here in Mother's Musical Diaries with Andy and Wylita. And uh, you know who I gotta uh wanna full full disclosure here. We we just saw Gary Moo Gary Newman last night! And uh as Wylita said, uh Gary New Metal, because it was uh it was a straight up metal show. Uh there's no doubt, and uh he had these two scary ghost ghost guys in these really long gowns playing guitars, and they were just fantastic! And uh Gary, I know you're listening. Uh that was an excellent shower, excellent shower. Tell me about the hat to you. What's that way? What'd you what'd you say? I guess you're right. It's a tip of the hat, too. I always thought it was like your top of the tip of the top of your hand. Anyway, but I really want to know the freshman elements from Gary Newman. Speaking of which, I think we have Jimmy Diamond on the line. Let's put it on the white legend, what about Jimmy Diamond political correspondent in DC. That's the district of the District of Columbia for the geographically uh challenge. So uh Yeah, what do you go ahead? What do you Jimmy? What do you got there?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, Jimmy, uh yeah, we we we've been a little busy. I can understand, I can understand that it's been busy here too. Let me tell you I got a I got a foot massage at the Burger King at 17th Street.
SPEAKER_01Jimmy, Jimmy, that's disgusting. You're making stuff up, and I don't uh I don't want to know, honestly. I don't want to hear anymore. Either way, um true or false about that massage. Just uh I'm gonna forget, I'm just gonna forget we even heard it.
SPEAKER_03Ignorance is bliss. Ignorance is bliss. Get the screw for you.
SPEAKER_01Get to it, Jimmy. My ears are starting to bleed.
SPEAKER_03I gotta keep this quiet. I gotta keep it on the top the word is the word is the the big cheese. He got a present. He got a present for the radius. I know the radians gave the cheese. The ten bones are the present industry.
SPEAKER_01The radius got a free better be good, Jimmy.
SPEAKER_03The big cheese gives He's given the radiance free pants. Magic Kingdom public and Disney Wheel with the guests from the Radio Genie bottom from the passenger complex with riders controlling the head. Hide and back room riders controlling the kid!
SPEAKER_01That's the dumbest thing I ever heard. Hang up, Wileita. Hang up. That's a I'm tired of this guy. We gotta we gotta look at our contract with our political correspondent, because I've had it up to my eyeballs on this one. I wonder, Walita, you gotta play something really quick. Yeah, just smooth out my temper, because he always gets my blood just a boiling.
unknownI'm going to the river corner, go overboard and down.
SPEAKER_12Go overboard and down We got together, I know she just went left this town. When she left me up, my in front When she left me by never being I'd be the one bumped right. If you see my Mamadelle, a goodbye from me I'm tired of living, living in a misery La Long La Long Law.
unknownLay see my mama tell.
SPEAKER_01That was a nice song, Wailita. Good call, good call. That felt pretty good. And uh though I don't really know if the song had a good or positive message, uh the music just it just really sounded nice. Uh good work. Uh that was Wilbert Harrison with Going to the River! We're going to play some more Wilbert Harrison once we finally find our way to Andy After Dark. Coming to you one night late this spring, I promise. Cross my health and swap the clamber. Andy After Dark is just going to be so good. Uh, we were thinking that this special episode should be a Patreon deal, but uh just can't get the time and energy to figure that out. Isn't that right, Walita? Time is hard to come by, but we'll get to it, brother lovers, I promise you. And you know what we absolutely can figure out, and it is, it has really, it has been admitted, it really has. Are you ready for news from beyond? Yeah. Okay, the Farmington Tigers closed out the 2025-26 season in dramatic fashion. Saturday afternoon rallying for a 3-2 overtime victory over Femichi to capture the MSHSL class AA Constellation Championship at Trio Rink. With the win, Farmington finished the year with an impressive 24-5-1 record. Lexi Guller led the offense with two third-period goals since Mark the Raleigh! Amelia Gobblerish netted the overtime winner, while Jenna Goblerish, Taylor Rich, and Joey Empi each recorded assists. And net, Makina Underwood made 26 saves to help secure the win. Congratulations to the Farmington Tigers from Farmington, Minnesota!
SPEAKER_05From Farmington, Minnesota, bitte, bitte, the recherim du lady, bitte.
SPEAKER_13I'm an alma, say I'm an alma, then, I'll sum some, I'll save some, I am it, but same, I'll be out, so while Ethan and I were just dancing all over the place.
SPEAKER_01I was even doing the thing where I lift my arms over my head and snap my fingers. Just to and fro, just like just like on the internet. I felt very Turkish, very Turkish indeed.
SPEAKER_03Very Turkish.
SPEAKER_01Thank you, Pierre. That was Pierre, WXRW's quality control specialist. And he said I looked Turkish. Thank you, Pierre! Uh, for new listeners, Pierre is an Arsenal Gunners and Minnesota Vikings fan, as am I. We have a blood truce that unites our fandom as one! And if he renounces the Vikings, his legs were surely turned to peanut brittle! And were I to turn my back on Arsenal, uh, there's really no doubt my spine would turn to j jellied fish. And uh, just so you know, mother lovers, here on Mother's Musical Diaries with Andy and Waylita, 104.1 FMWXRW, River West Radio, right in the heart of River West. Right next to a coffee shop that closes at 3 p.m. Eh, you would know it never closes. Yeah, it never closes. That's right. Yes. Enter the game, my friends. Enter the game. Yeah, this is Rolos Lobos. It's the game where you artfully combine in the respective entirety a candy and a band name. Like Rolos Lobos, Rolo is the candy, of course. And Lolos Lobos is the band. And uh past winners include Charles Stone Temple Pilot Choo. Ha ha! Sorry. Yes, yeah. Uh Charles Stone Temple Pilot Choo, yeah. Runt DMC! Runs DMC and Canberry White Cream Egg. Okay, Mother Lovers, get up, get up your gump shit and call the show with your Rolos Lobos. And you're gonna win an original hand drawing by me. And I'm gonna send it in the mail. I've got three winners on the wait list, and uh I figured I'd wait until after today's show because if a mother lover proves victorious today, I can bundle it all together in one trip to the mail clerk. Okay, 414-812-1730. That's 404. 414812-1730. Uh, go ahead and call and uh Wileita. Waylito, be at the ready of the phone lines, and uh Yeah, we're just gonna wait this out while people try and call the phone. And uh, what's Oh, look at that, Wormy! Wormie, do you wanna play? Oh, okay. Yeah? Okay, get a mic, Wyelita, get a microphone down there. Yeah, thank you, Wylita. Always there, always ready. Yeah, uh, wormie, you got yeah, put on that microphone. It's a headset mic, yeah. We got a new one for you, Wormy. Ha ha ha, yeah, what a surprise. Okay, go ahead. I mean, Wormy, this is just amazing. You wanna play Rollos Lobos? What do you got there for us, big fella?
SPEAKER_09Oh, I'm just so excited to play Rollos Lobos, Annie. I just love this game.
SPEAKER_01We love it too, Worby! And you know what? I gotta say, we love you, we really love you too.
SPEAKER_09Okay, here it goes, Ready Limpy, Freddy Werby! Okay, here it goes, blah blah blah, blah blah blah, babble tape.
SPEAKER_01Well uh well that's Wellita, can we get a check on that? Uh the the hubba part is probably right. I'm just not sure about that band. What the heck was the what the heck was the band there? Wellita, what do you got? Okay, uh thank you, Waylita. Okay, it looks like they never released anything wormy. Uh, but they were a band that featured Trent Reznor from Nine Inchworm Nails. Ha ha ha ha!
SPEAKER_09That's the band! That's the band I'm talking about, Andy. I love them so much. Yeah, yeah, I just love their band.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we're gonna we're gonna give it to you, Wormie, not only because we like you a whole heck of a lot, uh, but also because you're uh you're an unpaid, you're an unpaid intern. Congratulations! You're a winner! Ha ha ha, you are a winner!
SPEAKER_08Oh my gosh, I am so excited! I just can't believe it! Thank you so much.
SPEAKER_01I just want Tony Williams of Amber. What? What Tony Williams does to me? I gotta wild boy, I just get all weak in the knees when he starts hammering on them drums. And that is an album that features Alan Holdsworth, uh, the electric guitar and we're gonna hear some of Allen Holdsworth later in the spring, I bet, but uh but Tony Williams. Boy, oh boy, he can really play the drums quick and I I never get tired of Tony Williams. And mother had some Tony Williams, and then I completed the collection, so together we have every Tony Williams worth a pint of gold if it's if it's worth a penny. And let's see, we got a million-dollar legs and emergency and turn it over, and ego and the old bomb's garage, and believe it, and the joy of flying, and of course, play or die. If you don't know play or die, you gotta get your hands on that, mother lovers. What a stack of pleasure those records are! Okay, and here we go. Entering the game again, my friends. Enter the game again. We're not done. Rolos Lobos, call in 414-812-7030 with your Rolos Lobos. The game where you artfully combine in their respective entirety a candy and a band name. It uh looks like we have a call. Go ahead and put that one through, Wylita. Yeah, go ahead. Patch that in. Yeah, okay. I'm just gonna. Yeah, I'm gonna pass I'm gonna pick up that and put we're gonna put that on line four, okay, if that's okay, Wylita. Line three is all looks all corroded over. Well, I gotta talk to Pierre about that. Okay, hello, you're uh here because what do you got for us, mother lover? What do you got there? Hello! It's just the guy in a combined respective eternity of camping a bad name. Yes, yes, it is. That was put very well, ma'am. And to whom am I speaking, if I may inquire? This is Sophie Harwigs Michael. Uh, yes, of course. Uh this wouldn't happen, uh perchance, to be the Sophie Harwigs Michael who teaches philosophy at Oxford University. Indeed it is. May I ask how you came about such a deduction? I listen to you, I listen to you hold court on various subjects on my uh uh my uh my podcast uh thing. Delightful! Yeah, the pleasure is mine, Miss Harwigs Michael. Uh we're we are honored. Uh what what may I ask is your Rolos uh Lobos this evening?
SPEAKER_04I have been playing this over round and round since I first heard your program. Just last night, at the hour of half past twelve midnight, I was struck by the most extraordinary Roller's Lobos.
SPEAKER_01Miss Harvey's might gonna make us wait no more.
SPEAKER_04So here comes. My Roman's logus is Queens delight to make sweets.
SPEAKER_01If you did, Miss Harvick Michael, Sophie Harvick Michael, a most excellent philosopher and almost almost competitor of Queen's Reich and Queen's Delight. Queen's Delight! Fruity, fruity sweets. And uh, do we lose her? I think we did just lose her. Uh, Miss Harwig's Michael, are you still there? And no. Are you still there, Harwick's Michael? Okay. Oh, I'm John. Ah, that's too bad we dropped that line. I would love I would love to hear hear how each she ever came up on a Queen's Reich. I mean, listen to that. A Queen's Delight Reich fruity sweet. Wow. Okay. That was a mod that really was something, okay. Who knew that the show had such reach? Why, right? Why didn't I? I mean, you know, we gotta have someone from all the way over from Oxford University, and look, it looks like we have one more text. One more text. Uh, from hashtag blanketbobby. Hashtag blanketbobby text it to 4148. I have no idea what that hashtag. I that my mind goes all kinds of places. Okay, 414 texted to 4148127030 from hashtag blanketbobby. Uh okay, hey, blanket blanketbobby says. Okay, you gotta listen to this one, Mother Lovers. You ready for this? Three prime musketeers! That's a winner! Three prime musketeers! Three prime musketeers! The winner of Rollerflover! Winner, winner, naughty tomato chips with buttermilk on ice dinner!
SPEAKER_07Seen a mouth of suckle that found in sixteen penny tails. The trackers on the inner state have been known thrive the rails, sweat is beating on the brow, and keep these fellows down, cause these damn blue-collar triggers they'll run in this year down my hungry while he tongue at the mighty quick. Whenever he would come around because these damn blue colored triggers, they're beloved in their style. While curious charges, drug patrol is out here hunting snap. Now they try to tell me different, but you know I ain't no clown, cause these damn blue collar triggers they're the backbone of the S Town. So have a cup of Joe and watch the wheels go round because these blue collared tweakers they have always run their style.
SPEAKER_01Because apparently Sophie Harvey Michael's uh roll those logos was a little off, and uh we're gonna need to debrief after the show and figure out what the hell is. Sophie, maybe if you could call again next week and we could get this all straight now because I think while you have some ideas over here. Yeah, so you can tell she's pretty upset. It's not your fault, Sophie. Blue collar tweakers! Really easy for me if I became this way. But overall, you said lesson of this being looked at I just heard a single experience of the girls and reason controlling the music is just one Larry Lalandric. Singular baby just metal Really, folks, what a real What are they coming together? Technical skill, whimsy! Something again to authenticity and the real humor. If you can't hear the humor, then you don't have to hear the humor. You hear the humor's musical diary on the white lady. Start our own culture and food stocks or whatever. But I do know what I mean when I say why not read that from the unpublished memoir! From my unpublished memoir titled the diary of founders I mean, which will be illustrated by Wayland and each show will get a little deeper into the story last week. And he heard about his neighbor, Rick, peeping into other people's windows. What could possibly happen next? The diary found us in me. July 30th. And everything at home is good. We didn't talk long because mother wanted to speak to Aunt Carrie. They look alike, but mother plays the accordion and listens to a lot of records like Elvis, Donna Lee, and Black Sabbath. And the only music I've heard here is from commercials. I like commercials. At dinner, I mentioned my dream, and Lewin said that other people's dreams are boring. I said it depends on how you tell them, and that his dreams certainly would be boring. He grabbed my hair from across the table, and Uncle Charlie, who is usually unmoved at the table, quickly raised his right hand with the back facing. And everything stopped. Eva wasn't at dinner again. Same with foundos.
SPEAKER_02Ou lui dance au moins. T'es de marries. T'es de la baby de kim judge. Take me as the moon took me to leave. Take the moon.
SPEAKER_01I have no idea what the heck he was talking about. But he sounded pleasant, so maybe it was about figs. Figs for breakfast or coffee at noontime. Or maybe a really cool-looking cat is walking by the window, and then another one was sort of following behind you with its tail real high in the air. I mean, who knows? Uh we'll never know because uh research and development is apparently on strike. And that is being generous. And uh one time a matre D he came to my table and asked if I wanted anything, and I said, no, why? And he said, uh, because sir, your arm is in the air. And he was right, my arm was in the air. I had no idea what the heck he was going what was going on. And uh, Wyalita, do you remember that? No. No, you don't remember that. Yeah, well, yeah, so so the whole night I had to keep raising my arms and pretend to scratch my armpit. And the Matre D kept coming over. You don't remember that, huh, Wyalita? Looks like we have a call. Let's take that call there, Waylita. Why not? We have just a little bit of time here. Okay, brother lover, you gotta spill the beans quickly. Wha what do you got? Hey, why David Byron here? Late singer, you're rather ape. Yes, okay, David Byron. Hello, eh? What's new what's new? The listeners can can hardly wait.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, why just just listen to the show, yeah? You thought I'd call you and see if uh you were talking uh picking the big yeah, wasn't you? So Sophie Edwigs, Michael.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we're gonna be here. No, but uh that was real, David. Uh hard for you to believe, but the learned do listen to the show. Yeah, that's all right, yeah, that's all right. Uh what was that about Pierre? Yeah, he he fancies Arsenal, yeah? Yes, David, yes, he does. That's a pity, isn't it, yeah? Oh, he's fancy name a Tottenham bloke, yeah? Uh no idea what you're talking about there. We're going to hang up while he's a hang-up. Did David, don't ever call in here and mention the Tottenham Hatchbirds again. Or I swear Pierre and I will come down to North London and box your ears red, probably stamp on your toes. Yeah, he said damn right.
SPEAKER_06Oh, yeah, baby don't have no shoe.
SPEAKER_01Oh, the great Clifton Shenier, and he's got a set of choppers that'd make a horse blush. I kid you not. And uh, David, listen, David Byron, all feelings aside, it was nice to hear from David Byron, hey, lead singer of Uriah Heap. Uh, David, if you're listening, you do get under my skin, it's true. But uh when Pierre and I visit for a North Lar London derby, uh, we can all raise a pint and let bygones be bygones, because your country did in fact give us one of the greatest rock and roll bands of all time. And of course I'm talking about the Dave Clark 5! Ha ha ha! No, well, well, I I do love the Dave Clark 5. But I don't know that I call that rock and roll, but maybe it is tater tots, tater toots. Uh, because I was talking about the Kinks. Yeah, just kink about it. The Kinks of the Village Green Preservation Society. Such a great album, and uh, and uh and every week we're gonna play a song from this outstanding album by the Kinks titled The Kinks of the Village Green Preservation Society. Specifically the Earwax triple album 2004 release, and I'm not gonna play any of the repeats or duplicates on the album. Just a little heads up there, mother lovers. And last week we played track one from side B of Album One. So, what's next? Just just kink about it.
SPEAKER_14Track two from side B of album one tree, far from all the soft lower deep, there's a big tree, it's been a long time Since I lost the eyes of the church, there's a deep down I looked there I met the girl by people Although I lost my day, I think. So I left the dog I danced between the doll people, I danced between the dog people, I danced the body, all the all that are the barrel and roll people I don't think I turned that the daisy and we laugh and talk about the food We will laugh and talk about the lot of drama in this album.
SPEAKER_01Did you hear that? She's gonna marry you, Tom, the grocer boy. Okay, listen, we gotta go in just a few minutes here, but I wanted to read a little text we got here from 414-812-1730. And you two can text or call the show anytime you want, mother lovers. Okay, and this one is from Oh boy, okay, Pierre, you better cover up your ears on this one. Okay. Uh I don't even know if I can read this on the air, but I can't I can't be I can't be prejudiced. Uh prejudicial. I can't discriminate Okay, here we go. This is from backward many Losers. I think we know who the loser is a food. Oh, thank you, Mother. I will never forget that. Thank you so much for coming in to tell me that. And I really do appreciate the wisdom, and you know what else I re appreciate. You better believe it. Yeah. Here we go. Uh this has been Mother's Musical Diaries with Andy and my LinkedIn, where eartime is the best time. And just a little warning to you there, hashtag backward man. Uh I wouldn't send along your full name and address because just like that other fella, you're gonna get your ears boxed and probably your toes stomped on. And uh, we don't want to end on a pilot note, so I just want to say, boy, oh boy, the sun is just peeking out over those clouds. And I just hope you have a great start to your spring. And uh coming up next, we got Mashua on the ones and twos, and I just love Mashwa. You know, there's a lot of musical overlap between the two of us, mother lovers. You oughta listen to his show.
