Good afternoon before the early evening to one and all. This is Andy Positive and Wylita, and we are bringing to you live from River West Radio on the perfectly dusty street of center, mother's musical diaries with Andy and Wylita. Now with a hot new phone line, call or text the show at 414-812-1730. That's 814 414-812-1730. 1730, a great year for the black swallowtail caterpillar. Okay, listen, this critter, I have no idea how they make it in the wild. Because it's a big old fat hot dog. A real beautiful hot dog just hanging out on a fennel plant. Absolutely defenseless against an entire army of hungry predators like birds and wasps and ants and praying mantises and what have you. I mean, what a testament to something. A chance? I don't know. Can't believe they make it in the wild, Mother Lovers. I can't believe what a great show we have planned for you either. Which always begins with a diary entry for mother, then at some point we play a song from her musical archives, and finally we end each show with mother breathing closely, then entering my room to impart wisdom that offers a good, deep sleep. And so we begin with the words of Mother, a diary entry. I'm not going to mention any names, but good claver. I am really tired of this neighbor who keeps coming around the house in the middle of the day when the kids are at school. Do you mind? I have the work to do. I need peace and quiet so I can paint and write. I tried hiding, but he does not quit. He rings the bell 18-20 times and then circles the house and stands in front of the living room picture window with his hands on the glass, peering. And of course he goes back to ringing the bell 18-30 times. It's so annoying. One of these days I might have to break out my karate lessons. Hey ya! Right in the forehead. Andy always says I'm the nicest person he knows. I mean he doesn't really know anyone else. And he's not home during the day when I really get to express myself.
SPEAKER_01Hey ya!
SPEAKER_03Mother, you you were you were listen, mother, you really were nice. At least at least to me, and I I but I did see you chase that flasher. That flasher exhibitionist Nina chased him through the park with a wiffle ball bat. Ha ha! And I I was actually pretty relieved he got away, mother. Okay, let's lay listen, we gotta listen, I'm telling you what, we gotta change up the show and shift the shift from shift from stories of and fantasies of violence to something closer to I don't know, something like good vibes. Go go ahead, Wiley. Go ahead, lay that needle down. That was called a tango, and it's from the soundtrack. For the well, as far as I can tell, it's a somewhat obscure because I because I never heard of it. It's a somewhat obscure movie. Uh Woman is sweeter, that's the title of the movie. But uh you you pr you you probably remember Gulti McGream it because he stinking wrote the music for the hit Broadway musical, Hair! Yeah, hair. And uh he made a ton of money on that one, and uh and then but then he spent the rest of his career doing really cool stuff that tickled his fancy, like the soundtrack for Woman in Sweezer. Woman is Sweeter is an intimate portrait of a fashion designer of fashion designer Eve St. Laurent for which Gold McDermott composed the soundtrack. I mean that that's it, that's uh that's all I was able to find about this movie. Yeah, that's uh really it. I I'm a pretty decent uh internet investigator. I'm not the worst, I'm not the best. I know how to work the internet, but that's that's all uh that's all I can find. And uh I mean hey hey, the movie could be good. I uh I don't know. I I I wouldn't mind seeing it. Why I why I why why why at least uh let's get let's get on the horn with that fella in Long Beach. Yeah, Aaron, he seemed connected he really he really seemed connected to the movie industry. And uh let's talk to him and see if he can find anything in heepers! I got stung by a bald-faced hornet the other day in my wrist. My wrist just blowed up like a fat neck at the Wisconsin State Fair. It's all tight and tingly, and itchy clever alive is bugging the heck out of me. Which brings us to the mother's musical diaries copyrighted feature! Backyard lessons where wherein I read a poem rich written in and about our backyard, Waylita. A glop of honey honey on the roof dropped by a goof thick and sticky sticky like the sulfur marsh in Vincent Minelli's classic film noir from the hill home from the hill home from the hill but bees are drawn to it like George Hamilton though I can't be sure because I haven't finished the movie, but bees are drawn to it, genetically compelled, swallowed by its viscous mass, dying, drowning, even then, lapping up whatever the stomach can hold, wings stuck and legs bound, sinking deeper, deeper, and deeper, deeper, deeper, proboscis, probing deeper, deeper, deeper, and deeper, deeper, deeper, soon, soon death appears, nearer, nearer, nearer, and nearer, nearer, a glap of honey, honey, and the roof trapped by a goof turned wildly and hurled to the sky a horrible shriek like some wandering and landless spirit wailing in despair.
SPEAKER_05And long hears without drums, without music, file slowly through my soul. Hope vanquished weeps, and despotic agony plants on my bent skull its flag of black. In a boat on a river with tangering trees, a marmalade skies.
SPEAKER_07Somebody calls you answer quite slowly. A girl with kaleidoscope eyes. Of yellow and green, towing over your head.
SPEAKER_05On a train in a station with plastic porters, with looking plastic, suddenly, someone is there at the turnstile.
SPEAKER_02Lucy in the sky is done. Lucy in the sky was done.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, come on, William Shatner from the LP Transformed Man, straight from Mother's Collection, LP Collection. That was not not too bad, Bill, not bad. I mean, why, Legion, that was that was a good column playing that song right after my poem from Backyard Lessons. I mean, it was sort of a diptych of poetry, or maybe a maybe a poetry call and response between a couple of celebrities, a couple of thespians at heart, no doubt, mother lovers. Well, Bill wasn't too bad, honestly. Maybe a la is a maybe a little melodramatic for my taste, but not bad, Billy. Keep it up, keep at it. There's something there for you. And I have a good sense for this sort of thing. I know, I like your voice. I like the general tone of the delivery. Again, maybe you're just just a bit too heavy uh with the cream there, Mr. Shatner, but maybe that uh maybe that's what it takes to make that that number interesting. I I don't know. But I'll tell you what, Bill, give me a call at 4148121730, and we can workshop your next poetry album. And it looks like Okay, we got a call there. We're gonna let this fill on the line. And uh caller, what do you what do you got there for us?
unknownAndy!
SPEAKER_03Uh yeah big T. Big T.
SPEAKER_04Big T and it's been a long time, and it's really, really so great.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, big key. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, wait, what what's what's what's on your what do you what what why you why why why are you calling?
SPEAKER_04I'm just calling detective and you would expect me to do holidays, birthdays, but uh you know, today you've just been out gardening in the yard and I thought uh shooting and you have uh little handy call, like you used to be a little handy, not little anymore, but so you're gardening. Yeah, what do you what do you what do you what's going on in the gardener, big Treeone a little bit worried about uh the lack of rain, but you saw yesterday rain. So not really sure what what everyone's complaining about is great, it's a great state, it's a really great state. Well it's uh used to be much drier here. Nobody talks about that.
SPEAKER_03Nobody nobody says that it used to be dryer than Nina, Big T. That's what you're saying.
SPEAKER_04It used to be very dry. Nobody seems to remember the great great dry years of eighteen forty-three. They called them the great dry years. And everybody lived. It was fine, the garden lived, so yeah. Yeah, well, yeah, Big T, listen.
SPEAKER_03I I boy, boy, I really appreciate you calling to tell me about your garden and whatnot you. But listen, I I really uh listen, and I'm I'm gonna rub why I'm I'm gonna think about this all night about the time Big T call they talk about. Oh, it used to be dry, but I tell you what, I got a show to run in. So Wiley, just go ahead and hang up with this. Okay, yeah, listen. Big T with Big T. What I mean, what the heck? Hey, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I know Wiley. Let's let's mark that number. I don't know if he needs he needs to be called into the show. Yeah. What what'd you say? Yeah, I know, yeah, yeah, he's from Nina, yeah. Yeah, I know Big T. That's about that's all that's about all I'm gonna say. And I know him, and I haven't known him as long as this Lenny Zachowski and Officer McKenzie. Uh but uh but uh but that's that's really all there is to it. I'm not I don't want to talk about it. Yeah, yeah, mother knows him too, but I don't I really don't want to talk. And uh, you know something? You know what else I've known for a long time. Mosquitoes! I've known mosquitoes my whole life! And yeah, but the but you know I they never grew on me, which is to say I never came around to them. But uh honestly, big T is a Big T is more like uh one of the big greasy snapping turtles. Uh no, no offense to snapping turtles, and no offense to all the other newspapers this side of that side of the Mississippi, but there's only one Carbon County comet. And that means a new copy just landed on the stoop in physical form, which brings us to Yes. Big T can't ruin the mood of this show. Okay, brother lovers, turning to page 23 of the June 20th, 2026 edition. Edition 51. Let's see here. Volume what is that? What does that say right there, Waylita? That says volume three. Yeah, okay. Volume three of the legendary weekly. Uh legendary weekly fish wrap, as Greg Kay would say, the fish wrap. Here cometh the carbon county comet. And I'm just gonna read the first few paragraphs, get you interested, brother lovers. So you can acquire your own subscription, okay? Here it goes, okay. This this is this one's titled The Spirit of San Francisco by Mike Armstrong. When I was around 13 or 14, my father had some meetings in San Jose, and he took the family on an excursion to the Bay Area. I don't remember why, but when he wanted to take us out to San Francisco for dinner, my sister and I opted out of going with him and staying in the hotel room and grabbing some KFC and watching TV. In my defense, I was a kid. My father loved to eat at fine dining places. He was very much a frugal man and was not extravagant at all, but he really enjoyed good restaurants. It was our loss not to have gone with him. He never let me forget that we missed a great chance to have an excellent meal in one of the best culinary cities in the world. I guess for that reason, San Francisco has always been on my radar for food and drink. Yeah, come on, mother lovers. Get out your pens and papers and write this down. Because that was from the Carbon County Comment. If you want more writing like that, you gotta write to P.O. Box 16 Hannah Wisconsin uh Wyoming. Sorry, Hannah, Wyoming, H A N N A 82327. That's P.O. Box 16 Hannah Wyoming. 82327 or call or you gotta call 1307-306-4577. That's 1307-306-4577. You gotta listen, you gotta, you gotta, you, you gotta take it from Jennifer. Or he taps their foreheads incessantly. That's one of Mother's favorite words. Father incessantly eats burger meat. I guess what I mean is there's no shame in being influenced by Southeast Asia. In fact, I think it's kind of an honor. I mean, uh to be open to Southeast Asia, to, you know, just to be shaped by it a little bit. And I don't really know what I'm saying. I'm I guess I'm I'm a committed pluralist! And that goes for value. All sorts of music as well as the strong version of pluralism that constitutes our nation where tons of just tons of groups of uh beliefs and thinking and just kind of just all peacefully live together, share powered governance in one single society or something like that. Anywho, I was watching the movie Society originally that horror movie from the 80s, and I had to go to the bathroom. And I swear a fly with sunglasses came up through the Sink Snapper. What do you call it? The Sink Dream Lord, we have another focal. Go ahead and let's buy pants anyway. Okay, go ahead, mother lover. What do you got? Oh, I think I know who this is. I'm pretty sure that this is a one and only Oh, Z Carlson, Cozy. What do you got there? Come on, welcome to the show, Cozy.
SPEAKER_00And distinct, distinct salutations to the mother lovers.
SPEAKER_03Cozy, listen. I hope you're back to further explain your theory on sports.
SPEAKER_00And Dandy. Last week, if you have recalled, I said that because baseball does not test compared limitations, it is not a sport, but rather a game. Remember, Cozy. And further. And here one can find widespread and indubitable agreement by experts from around our basic group, which is to say, consensus on this matter is guaranteed. A sports final outcome cannot, I say it again, Andy, cannot be determined by a judge or judges. Let me repeat for the deep and otherwise hearten out of hearing: a sports final outcome cannot be determined by a judge or judges. This is not a determination of value, but between sport and game, but rather a distinction. And without distinction, we are but cows in a field.
SPEAKER_03Well, that's amazing stuff. What did he say? Without disjunction, a cow can't grow in a field. What the heck? But I but I bet you know what, mother lovers. I I know what can grow in a field with or without Cozy's discernment. Yeah, we're just gonna get that going there, Waylita. I got it. Okay. And let's try that again. Let's I'm gonna try and cue that up again there, Waylita. Yeah, no, no, that's okay, that's okay, that's okay. Yeah, there we go. There we go. Yeah, we got this right now. It was on 45. It's already a fast song.
unknownI've been on both sides of the start. I've been fond of our pressure, I've been impaled with my buttons out when we have bills, but it's my ball that you feel like black.
SPEAKER_10I'm sorry that you have to feel like that. I tried your beard, and I let you touch me. Show me there with someone else. I'd rather be trying to bother my bones that your crush is still around. Despite my attempts to throw to how I better be careful, 'cause I've been doing bad things lately enough. Everyone knows when you choose I'll come back to you At some point in time, I could get in a car. The people that I love could stop loving me in fact. I could become allergic to all the food I like, or I could lose all my life We rode around for a really long time Even though we talk I could have looked you in the eye If you knew me better you would have known I was that me and I would be my call but I take progress that you don't even know that's the one you're not up with me as well.
SPEAKER_02Better be careful Cause I've been hurting feelings lately and I've everyone open with you that it'll come back to you.
SPEAKER_10I could get in a car or the people that I love to decide I'm full of crap, I could become allergic to all the food I like, or I could lose all my life.
SPEAKER_03We had a false start, so we're gonna play the next song, too. I think, yep. 33 RPM.
SPEAKER_10I like to leave every place I'm from. So I can meet other people from pepper and places like Californians Who are free and lazy with my hormones ranging when I go out west. I know I'm the one that you like the best when the big trees surround you. You might wanna try and do at the beasts do and they're all of the beastly things I'm willing to try. I'm opening fishing weekend of the 4th of July.
unknownBut if you don't do it, this the first month that's been a year.
SPEAKER_10I refuse to remove my long underwear. In January, I don't feel good about myself. Cause I'm not getting fresh air and I'm not working out. There it is, no time for a love to grow up, to grow, to let my feelings show And I don't want you to see me like that. I don't want you to see me like that Common Junior be talking as fast, as I don't want you to see me like that And I will leave this day Just when it gets warm and sunny every day I'll go down the Florida To be with casual dude having Casual beach fun when I reach the Gulf Coast I know I'm one that you miss mostly wanna visit me up the north of course at school for sure, but not just any months. I'll show you hospitality in April or May when I used casual fun. We'll go all day, but if you visit me in January, all I wanna do is sleep at ease in January. I don't feel good about myself Cause I'm not getting crushed and I'm not working out that it's no time for a lot to grow up to fall to let my feelings show that I don't want you to see me like that. I don't want you to see me like that. I don't want you to see me like that.
SPEAKER_03Best friends forever. What a band from Minneapolis. Not sure what they're up to these days, but you can find them on their internet, I'm sure. You got You got Jessica's demons just slapping the heck out of that base and Brianna Smith playing a guitar and singing and it just uh really, really upbeat stuff that just gets gets right down your toes. And what happened there is that we played that on 45 because the album actually says 45 RPMs. That's a misprint. Not sure who's responsible for doing that printing, but there's also someone has to be involved in kind of making sure that the information is correct on the album. Colonels of wisdom you're just dropping out of my forehead before I fall asleep there. And also, I'm not gonna forget it. It's time for Jerry Hahn to make his appearance, and it's not the Jerry Hahn from Quality Foods. There he is. Ha ha ha! Alright! Yes, this has been Mother's Musical Diaries with Andy and Wyalita, where your time is the best time. And I want to just thank you all for listening, taking time out of your day, and just you know, just enjoying uh music with me and Wyalita and all the other mother lovers, and and that weekly newsletter, that's really something too, and I drink coffee and I just love it.
