They they really they look like death warmed over in the winter and early spring, and then whammo! Just whammo, they get all pumped up with life. You just can't believe the transformation. And I call it the Lazarus plant for obvious reasons. And uh anywho, the metallic green sweat bee loves prickly pears, so when those prickly pears start popping, you'll see these little bee little bees just a squirming and a wriggling deep in the center of the flower. And that's where we are right now, mother lovers, deep in the center of the flower. That begins with a diary entry from mother, and at some point we'll play a song from our musical archives, and finally we end each show with mother breathing closely, then entering my room to impart wisdom that offers a good deep sleep. And so we have the words of mother a diary entry. I was at a family picnic last weekend, and get this. She made me address her as Dr. Elizabeth Freyrnutz. But she's not a doctor. Out of a general respect for my female elders, I complied, but holy Hannah! Do you mind? And then I offered her some grapes, and she said, that's not entirely, that's entirely too many grapes. And I said, well then what is the right amount? And she said, twelve. And it gets weirder. At the end of the meal, I, for whatever reason, I announced I was full. And Dr. Elizabeth Freuernutz said, We never say that. It's distasteful. We say instead, I've had an elegant sufficiency. And then I really was full. Distastefully full of my family. Well, mother, I I I remember, I remember Dr. Elizabeth Freyrnutz, and I thought she was a doctor. I mean, and why in the heck was she taking skin samples from between my toes? And I listen, I have I have a lot, I have a lot of questions, Mother. But first, a song from your LP archive.

Mother, mother, you loved Mose Allison. I swear he stayed at our place when he was touring through the Midwest. Am I right on that? He had he played at the joint in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. And a great a great song there from Moose and the astounding Phil Upchurch on guitar. And I and I I just love that yamma electric piano for Mr. Allison he was just playing that. And there aren't too many records where he's playing that yammaha piano. So you gotta really search him out. You gotta find those two are so special. Mose Allison records where he plays the electric piano. Absolutely sublime, unless you're a jazz purist. Or maybe you're Brianna Smith, and you only listen to an acoustic piano, and you guys say pox on your hairline. And I was gonna say pox on your aquarium, but I I don't wanna I don't wanna wish your fish bad. It's not their fault, you're a purist. Anyway, a great album mother! And thank you for sharing your vast, vast knowledge and collection of LPs, especially the jazz one. Really appreciate it. Oh, come on, great stuff from the Activities Archive. It's a website where you can you all sorts of amazing and unique Milwaukee bands of the underground variety, if you will. And that was a quartet featuring Stephanie Barber on vocals, and Sarah Price on drums, and Annie Killy on guitar, and of course Diddy Leplay was on the bass there. And I saw them a bunch of times back in the early aughts, and it was an electric show. Too bad for you if you miss that, mother lovers. As culture goes, they all moved on and dispersed and got on to other things in Los Angeles and Baltimore and Portugal, and if Jickens, and why not I? Each show I'll read a short passage from my unpublished memoir titled The Diary of Foundos and Me, which will be illustrated by Waylita. And each show will get a little deeper into the story. Eh, won't we, Waylita? We certainly will. And last week Andy learned another new word and used it in a sentence, which was Father incessantly eats burger meat. Yeah. Yeah. The diarrhea of Foundos and me. August 9th. Foundos and I went to TJ's to clean the pea pile. I insisted, and TJ just shrugged. I used pine salt and old rags. Of course, Foundos didn't help. In fact, he made it worse by adding to the pile when I had my back turned. I caught him but couldn't get too upset because he looked so excited and happy. TJ stayed downstairs and ate white bread. He rolls slices into a ball and eats it like an apple. As I was leaving, he told me thanks for cleaning, but he'd be reclaiming the pea corner soon. It's his room. We made plans later to go to the pond with Dutchie and look for turtles. Then Mick came out of his room shirtless and in one motion slapped the back of TJ's head and ate his bread ball. Rick must have sniffed the food and violence because he burst through his door and grabbed Mick's throat. They scrapped to the floor, and Rick kept yelling and laughing while clawing into Mick's mouth. Give me that food! TJ called them the F-word, and they both instantly stopped and turned. We ran out the door. It's crazy how much faster you can run when you whisper Warp Speed.
